The clocks go back this weekend, and so for the next few months there will be more hours of darkness than daylight. And that beautiful blue twilight hour will soon fall at tea-time. I love taking pictures at this time of day, when the ebbing daylight is in perfect balance with the glow of interior lighting. Good lighting design can make all the difference to a space, and hence to a photograph, helping to create mood and depth, and accentuating key features. John Cullen Lighting is one of the leaders of the field, and are used by many of my interior designer and architect clients. Here are some examples of their expert scene setting.
