It’s time to say a fond farewell to our classic 1970s avocado kitchen! As much as I love it, it’s time for an upgrade, and a dishwasher apart from anything else. This was the original kitchen, installed when the block was built in about ’81, so ok then, not quite 70s. However, I’m really excited about its replacement, being manufactured as I write, by our friends at Armorel Kitchens, whose wonderful projects I have been shooting for the last few years. I will of course bring you the finished shots as and when the installation has been completed.
If however you fancy a bit of retro avocado, I plan to save the cupboard doors and drawer fronts, so they can hopefully find a new home. Do get in touch if you are interested.

The kitchen’s original Neff oven has given almost 40 years of service. They don’t make ’em like they used to! The neighbouring space however, used to house the fridge until I killed it while over-enthusiastically defrosting it!
