The current issue of The English Home magazine, features an elegant neo-Georgian house in the Surrey countryside, which I shot on a beautiful day at the tale-end of last summer. Fortunately, although not part of the brief, I had enough time to capture the lovely gardens. While the grounds looked pretty well established, they were, like the house, only laid out in the last decade or so. Following convention, they tended towards the formal, nearest the house, with classical urns, herbaceous borders pleached hedges and immaculate, while further away, they melted imperceptibly into the landscape.
