Norfolk and East Sussex were the locations of the two homes I shot for Christmas editorial features this year. I’d shot both before without their festive finery, so it’s always a bit of a challenge to go back and reshoot, making them look sufficiently different.
The first was in Norfolk, and I’d previously been commissioned to shoot it by its Interior Designer, Stephen Ryan. A weekend retreat of a young London family, it had plenty of Stephen’s signature details including jazzed up painted rococo furniture, and exotic fabrics and wallpapers. Over this, Homes & Gardens sprinkled a little christmas sparkle, and featured it in their December issue. Stylist: Alice Ridley

The other home I was even more familiar with. Not only had I photographed it before, I actually used to live there, and my mother still does! My parents bought it 40 years ago, and over the decades my mother transformed it with her incredible energy and design talents. And by next Christmas you could be living there, as it’s now on the market. You can read more about it in the current issue of The English Home magazine.
