I’m guessing Shaun Clarkson and Paul Brewster aren’t big fans of Ikea. You may recall how a few years ago the Swedish furniture store proclaimed tunefully that we should all “Chuck out the chintz”. Their delightful but somewhat anarchic Norfolk cottage plainly ignores this suggestion, and wilfully disregards most modern design trends and developments in home technology. In addition to chintz, plaid, embroidery, taxidermy, antlers and Dartmouth pottery all feature in abundance, but definitely no flat-pack.
You might have assumed that the house was inherited in its current form from an aged aunt, but  Shaun and Paul would take that as a compliment.
