It’s usually the case that the best ideas are the simplest. For years, garden designer and blogger, Sue Berger had been making house shaped lanterns from cardboard or paper, with lights inside, to decorate her house. Then someone suggested she start selling them, and so a business idea was born. Although the design could work with almost any building style, the decision was made to use the extraordinary tower houses of Yemen as the template. Their shape, decoration, and the many tiny windows make for perfect lanterns. Along with a range of warehouse inspired designs, they are available online at Not on the High Street. Perfect as either Christmas decorations or for stocking fillers.
