Pisa has long been celebrated for its leaning campanile. Coachloads of tourists come from all over the world to photograph each other ‘attempting’ to correct the lean. Lesser known is the gravity defying twisted spire of Chesterfield. On our recent trip to the Derbyshire Peak District, we nipped over to have a look, and were equally impressed by the interior of the church with its elaborate tombs, box pews, and stained glass. As so often, the light in the church made it a dream to photograph. For the full set, visit my Facebook page.
