As a student in Brighton in the 80s, I was just as likely to be carrying a sketchbook as a camera. I used to spend endless summer days sitting in the sun, pencil in hand, recording Brighton’s architectural highlights. It was therefore quite a treat to be paid to head down to the coast and snap away indulgently for an apartment brochure. I could spend a day capturing the famous pavilion alone, and another covering every inch of the seafront.
